Cow vigilantes attack Truck drivers and set on fire in Rajasthan

 RAJSTHAN: After Pehlu Khan thrashed to death by a mob while  he was transporting Cow for Milk,One more incidents of Cow vigilante attacked and thrashed incident has come  to light in Rajasthan, this time from Barmer District in Rajasthan, Five truck were carrying cow were stopped by the Cow vigilante and drivers were thrashed on National Highway 15 and attempted to set one of the truckS on fire which had the animal inside.
The cattle had been purchased by Tamil Nadu Government from Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer District, and they were being transported to Tamil Nadu’s Chettinad, accompanied by veterinary doctors in a separate vehicle with their five assistances, NDTV reported.
“We have arrested 7 people so far,” said Gagandeep Singla, a senior police officer of Barmer. “Fifty people are named in the FIR and we hope to arrest some more. The police rescued the truck drivers, the Tamil Nadu team of veterinary officials and the cows as well,” quoted as saying to NDTV.
The role of the police, however, came under the scanner. With the mob blocking the highway after attacking the trucks, the police had to use mild force to disperse them. Action has been taken against seven policemen for not moving fast enough when the matter was reported. Police have launched its probe.
CPI Tamil Nadu unit secretary R Mutharasan urged the state government to exert pressure on the Centre and Rajasthan government to ensure legal action was taken against the vigilantes, who attacked the officials
